Love 101: Love For Dummies.
I may have posted about this before or maybe it seems familiar simply because I've thought about this so often..but here goes-
How do you know you're in love?
(Now I just KNOW some of you are going to go "Awww Mahi's in love" but before you DO venture into that territory, please let it be known that the question was asked out of pure curiosity on my part. Just pure curiosity.)
So back to it.
How do you know?
Do you just wake up one morning saying "Eureka!" (or whatever it is you exclaim when you suddenly get something)
Do you get conked over the head by this amazing epiphany, at some part of your day?
Does it feel different from other experiences that have to do with affairs of the heart?
For that matter, does it feel like every other experience you've had and are you just taking a hopeful stab in the dark?
Do you feel like you're finally home? But if you're the sort who gets along with everyone, at what point does 'Quality Control' come in?
I've seen friends who are in love, and I think I must've asked them this question - How do you know? about a million times, hoping that when the Love Of My Life comes jauntily walking along, I'll be sure not to miss him (that's a huge fear of mine, by the way- missing out on a lost opportunity...yea you learn something new everyday!). Oh, how simple it would make matters if he wore a sign on his head or something.
But for some odd reason I can't seem to remember what their answers are.
Mostly coz I think all their answers are different.
So my conclusion is that there isn't some set equation that explains what Love is.
(I know, I know..there are many sorts of love but I'm talking about 'Love-of-your-life' sorta love)
Which brings me back to Square One : This Love stuff is annoying.
If only I knew how to recognise it, I wouldn't be asking such daft questions and annoying you lot with my incessant babbling.

You know you're in love when madness takes over you temporarily and you start doing things like daydreaming and blushing and going mooney eyed and imaging yourself in every rmatic video... and also writing as though you were suddenly inspired to great literary heights.. or scoring rns/goals like your life depended on it... some people go mad like this more often than others... and azm talking utter rot obviously :P
Mahi.. really... you shouldn't be wasting time mulling over such stuff... not when you can dream dreams like Medha does!!! ;) happy dreaming :D
Oh I forgot.. one sure shot way of feeling the feeling of being in love.. eat loads of chocolate!!! :D

i think when ur fuel(petrol, diesel, biogas, gas – after eating out almost every day)and phone bill shoots up n u know u won’t be able to handle any more expenses but u still don’t care when it comes to spending money behind the 2 said things for that someone “special”, u gota tell urself u r in "love"

I agree with what Medha has to say about it going the moment you find it.
Also, knowing love is when food tastes bland, when colors seem dull, when sounds are muffled, except when you're with the one you love.
Hard to tell. It's different with every relationship. :) With my current one, I only realized months after. Just sat on my tv watching a programme and realized that it would be wonderful to have him around since he'd be able to laugh at the same jokes.
well i guess its just different for different people.....
the only time i was in love i knew because i felt the difference when i spoke or spent time with her. couldn't stop thinking about her whatever i did or wherever i was. cared for her more than what i did for a lot of close friends.
the only difference now is that she has moved ahead and i havent been able to .... so if anybody asks me.... i'd suggest people to stay away from it ;)
medha - i dont even know if theres such a thing as true love..and if there is..i know its cliched but if it is true love, itll come back to u :)
dewdrop - oh chocolate is a lovely substitute, no doubt but i dont think it quite measures up!

Ah grasshopper, it's an age-old question. I think it feels somewhere between jumping out of an airplane with a faulty parachute and having Alzheimers. You temporarily forget the memories of pain or sorrow or humiliation you've felt before. All your senses are intensified. If this person were to disappear you'd be heart-broken. I suppose you feel that love toweards other people too but with LOVE (all caps) you dream of waking up with them and going to sleep with them and coming home to them and reading the paper next to them and washing dishes with them.
I dunno grasshopper. The long and short of it is that LOVE makes you believe.

yea love is stupid, annoying, uber cliched, n messy.. so y do ppl fall in love, or want to be in love?
insanity is a true description, and u know, u just are not conscious of the fact, but once its gone ur surely know.
and some one mentioned if its true love it comes back...wish ur right.

but there is a flip side to it. He might think he is too much of a stud and he might start giving out airs and all!
yes buddy it is difficult, and there is no Love101 for dummies course floating in any university.
there is just one comprehensive course which would last your lifetime.
